Hard Rock Hotel
David and I bought some furniture at a department store a few months ago. Because you seem to be able to bargain for nearly everything in Panama, we tried bargaining for the department store furniture too. We got the price down a little, but not much. But they threw in three free nights at the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown Panama instead. Which we took. Which was fun! A far cry from our normal Gamboa lives. Way too much high rise confinement for me. But for a super short visit, it was really fun.... The strange thing about Hard Rock - they take all this music and art - all sorts of creative work. And they use it as a marketing scheme. Hopefully paying the artists/musicians well for this exploitation. And the customers seem to love it. Monetizing/franchising the creative process.... I loved the furniture combinations.
